Penderecki European Music Centre opens
The first facility of its kind is located in the heart of rural Poland and will attract young musicians from Europe and the US.

The European Krzysztof Penderecki Center for Music, a 650-seat concert hall, will stimulate cultural life in southern Poland, Lusławice.
Additionally, the center rests adjacent to Polish composer and conductor Krzysztof Penderecki’s estate, which includes a beautifully-restored 19th century manor, and a arboretum with over 1500 species of trees and bushes from around the world.
The Grand Opening Ceremony took place on Tuesday.
