Up to two million people live in extreme poverty, as 300,000 tonnes of food stocks are wasted by distributors each year.
New regulations could help send truckloads of edible foodstuffs to the needy, instead of discarding them at landfills. As Alicja Baczynska reports, the legislation is set to help eradicate the problem of food waste in Poland.
