Kamil Stoch won Poland's first Olympic Games ski jumping title in 42 years when he took gold on the normal hill at the Sochi Games on Sunday. Justyna Kowalczyk won the second in the cross country skiing 10k classic on Thursday.

Two and a half thousand athletes from 88 countries are in Sochi for the 22nd Olympic Games among them the 59-strong Polish squad. Four years ago in Vancouver, Canada, Poland scooped up six medals: one gold, three silver and two bronze.
Also in the program:
- the sport of padel has come to Poland! This outdoor racquet sport played mostly in Spain and Hispanic America can now be practiced in several places around the country.
