Seventy percent of secondary school students have no clear-cut political views, and most don’t keep track of the developments on the political scene, shows the latest study released by pollster CBOS.

As the researchers behind the survey indicate, youth has never been this vocal in their criticism since the fall of communism over two decades ago. However, far from abandoning dreams for a better future, young people don’t hesitate to put up resistance to assert their demands. And they have their own means of reaching that end.

“These people can actually mobilize if their real interests are threatened,” political analyst Mikołaj Cześnik, lecturer at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Warsaw, told Alicja Baczyńska, pointing to the mass protests against the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA) in Poland in 2012.
