“Now, we’ve got a range of potential markets and these are seriously looking at launching digital radio, from Sweden in the north to France in the west. And then, of course, we have Poland,” Patrick Hannon, president of WorldDMB, told the international audience of experts.

Polish Radio is a pioneer on Poland's DAB scene.

As Slawek Szefs reports, the public broadcaster launched its first transmissions in DAB+ technology in October 2013 starting with Warsaw and Katowice. The company has ambitions of completing a nationwide digital signal coverage by end 2020 with major urban agglomerations benefiting even as early as 2015.
