Among the priorities of the new minister will be, among others, the finalisation of work on the ratification of the convention for preventing violence against women, a bill on in vitro, as well as increasing the chances of women in public life.
Małgorzata Fuszara, who is also director of the Warsaw's Institute of Applied Social Sciences, replaced Agnieszka Kozłowska-Rajewicz who was elected to the European parliament in May.
"As a social scientist I know that there are many barriers women face in the public life and some of them are institutional barriers. It's much more complicated to break the so-called cultural barriers like stereotypes," the professor told our reporter, Danuta Isler.
