EU raises concerns over Russian extended embargo. John Beauchamp reports.
Brussels has voiced its dismay after Russia extends its embargo to the entire EU and other countries.

After Russia imposed a trade-ban on Polish fruit and vegetables at the end of July, the embargo has now been extended to other EU countries as well as the USA, Canada, Australia and Norway.
As John Beauchamp reports, Brussels has now said that it reserves the right to act in response to the Russian’s announcement that it will introduce a wide-ranging embargo on EU products.
“The announcement is clearly politically motivated. The [European] Commission will assess the measures in question as soon as we have more information on their full content and extent,” said EC spokesman, Frederic Vincent.
Polish farmers are demanding compensation from the EU for the embargo, fully aware that the move will hit Polish agriculture.
“We are completely done for,” exclaims Sławomir Wróbel, a fruit producer in eastern Poland.
