Poland will not be providing weapons to Ukraine, says Poland’s defence minister Tomasz Siemoniak.

He denies claims made by Ukrainian presidential adviser Yuriy Lutsenko, who wrote on his blog that five NATO states: Poland, Norway, Italy, France and the United States, will be delivering modern weaponry.

“No such arrangements were made at the summit," underlined the defence minister.

At the recent NATO summit in Wales , at which Ukrainian head of state Petro Poroshenko was present, it was decided that the Alliance will cooperate with Ukraine in military logistics, communication, and information security.

Ukraine had also been offered financial support for the modernisation of the armed forces.
