As Slawek Szefs reports, finance minister Mateusz Szczurek presented a concept in Brussels by which a 700 billion euro fund would be used to help overcome present and upcoming challenges faced by the European economy.

The idea is to make use of the accumulated savings surplus in the European economy to assist projects which simply must be implemented, such as an energy union with power grid connections between EU member countries.

“This has to be done, so we must avail ourselves of the best opportunity to go through with these mandatory investments," minister Szczurek told Polish Radio.
