Family Farming "Feeding the world, caring for the earth” - is the theme of this year's World Food Day - October 16.
On this day in 1945, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations was created. The Day itself was established in 1979 and is observed in 150 countries. For thirty-five years now, every World Food Day has been dedicated to a different theme putting the highlight on various issues that need attention on a global scale, and poverty and hunger above all.
