FOCUS :: American films in Wrocław

Some seventy films , selected from the abundance of the production of American film industry , will be shown during the six day event, which is held for the fifth time. The idea of the festival is to break away with the stereotype perception of the American productions as commercial and show a different face of the film industry of the US .The Wroclaw event is the second largest presentation of American films in Europe following the French festival in Deauville, which has a much longer history being set up in 1975.
Agnieszka Bielawska talked to Urszula Śniegowska the artistic director of the festival , about the reason behind the idea of staging a festival only devoted to US film industry.
