Polish soldiers in Afghan ‘Resolute Support’

Polish soldiers are staying in Afghanistan. That is the decision taken by the government, presently awaiting presidential approval.

However, ‘Resolute Support’ - the new NATO mission - is to differ considerably from the tasks of the ISAF contingent, both with regard to assignments and the number of soldiers involved.
"In the main, these will be specialists in military support and consulting. Poles shall also conduct training and offer advice starting from the ministry level down to Afghan government security corps commands,” Commodore Janusz Walczak from the Ministry of Defense in Warsaw told Polish Radio.
