Stanisław Mikulski, actor and hero of the cult 1960s television series "Stawka większa niż życie" (More at stake than life), has died in Warsaw at the age of 85.

As Elżbieta Krajewska reports, Mikulski was a versatile actor with numerous theatrical and film performances to his name.
To audiences in Poland and in many other countries of the Eastern bloc, he became forever Hans Kloss, the Polish intelligence officer and double agent reporting under the code name of J-23.
