As Alicja Baczynska reports, as many as 178 refugees arrived at an army base near Malbork, northern Poland, having completed consular procedures in Kharkiv.

This is the final stage of an operation launched on Sunday. The first planes carrying the Donbas Poles touched down in Poland in the afternoon.

“In the first few months we want to provide them with a Polish language course, vocational courses, and medical care,” says Interior Ministry spokesperson Małgorzata Woźniak. “As the group also consists of children – for them we have prepared placements in schools.”
