Boznańska paintings on show in Warsaw
A major exhibition of works by one of the most prominent female artists of the first half of the last century opens tomorrow in the National Museum.

In an interview with reporter Michał Kubicki, director of the Museum Agnieszka Morawińska describes her as an outstanding artist, whose portraits are renowned for “the intense presence of the model” and who “acquires the expressionistic effect using impressionistic means”.
Olga Boznańska was born in Krakow in 1865 and died in Paris in 1940. In Morawinska’s view, “we should do a better job of reminding [the world] of Boznańska”.
