We speak to a founder of an NGO in southern India about his experience of cooperating with a Polish company there.

A unique partnership involving private sector companies like Unilever or TZMO from Poland is improving the health and living standards of Indian women, men and children.

Two hours away from India's IT hub of Bangalore is Krishnagiri, home to the Integrated Village Development Project - an NGO founded by Francis Kulandei in 1978.

Kulandei is an activist, social worker and one of six recipients of the Magsaysay Award in 2012 in recognition of his efforts to empower thousands of women and their families in rural India.

Reporter Danuta Isler spoke to Francis Kulandei in Krishnagiri in the Tamil Nadu state of southern India.
