Three of them are running for International Opera Awards.
Soprano Aleksandra Kurzak, alongside tenor Piotr Beczała and baritone Mariusz Kwiecień, are shortlisted in the Reader's Award category. Also in Focus - Polish and Malaysian jazzmen promote the music of Bronisław Kaper, the first Pole to win an Oscar for film sountrack (the musical 'Lili' in 1953).
