News of the arrest of a Polish official in Dublin before Poland's 1:1 draw with Ireland, Sunday night, has electrified both fans and the National Football Association (PZPN).

As Sławek Szefs reports, the official in question is the head of the regional Podkarpackie Football Association. He was arrested on charges of illegal ticket sales and spent the night in police custody. Subsequently, he faced a court on Monday.
“We shall address the Irish federation with a request for assistance in clearing up this case which is surprising to us,” Jakub Kwiatkowski, spokesman for PZPN, told Polish Radio.
