The złoty hit four-year highs against the euro on Wednesday, and some players in the economy are concerned that this could cause some trouble for the Polish economy.
Radio Poland's Roberto Galea spoke to Małgorzata Krzysztoszek, chief economist at the Polish Business Organisation, Lewiatan.
The prospects for the Polish economy depend on how strong the Polish złoty will be in Q2 and H2 of this year, Krzysztoszek said.
"Until we are around the 4 EUR/PLN mark, it's not dangerous, but we have to look at two factors. First it is the [relationship between the złoty and the euro], while the second is the level between the [złoty] and US dollar," Krzysztoszek explained.
