A new joint logistics headquarters will also be established and new procedures will make it simpler and quicker to mobilise the force, Agnieszka Łaszczuk reports.

“We will not be dragged into an arms race, but we must keep our countries safe,” Stoltenberg told reporters, commenting on Russia’s statements about what it called NATO’s “provocative measures.”

“There are NATO member states that have nuclear weapons, and we are not afraid of such threats, such statements only generate tension,” said Polish Defence Minister Tomasz Siemoniak.
