Poland's Defence Minister Tomasz Siemoniak once again called for NATO's enhanced presence on its eastern flank to be a permanent move and not one "just for the moment."
“We agree that we have a totally new situation than a few years ago and it requires permanent changes. This discussion also pertains to the infrastructure in the east, strengthening military presence in the east, and so issues which most closely refer to Poland's security interests,” Siemoniak said.
The NATO Defence ministers also concluded with plans to assess the situation in Afghanistan before a final take on the “Resolute Support” mission there, originally to end in 2016.
