Christian refugees from Syria

This was made possible thanks to efforts of the Warsaw-based Estera Foundation, which aims at helping the minority of some 1,500 Christians in war-torn Syria to escape almost certain death.

But, as Slawek Szefs reports, visa procedures are taking a lot of time because of a change in the Syrians' status made by the Polish authorities.

"Applications numbering some 60 pages must be filled out for each individual person, also relevant data has to be included in the documents and invitations,” Miriam Shaded, president of the Estera Foundation, told Polish Radio.
