Deficit of medical doctors
Poland has an alarmingly low number of MDs, warns the Supreme Medical Board (NRL).

As Sławek Szefs reports, official figures show the country has the lowest index in this category among all EU members.
"At present, a great number of medical doctors remain professionally active considerably beyond their pension age and it would be false to assume this can be extended past a rational biological border line. Also, the emigration trend among doctors keeps intensifying,” Maciej Hamankiewicz, president of NRL, told Polish Radio.
