Despite the fact that India is one of the biggest areas of direct Polish investment, second only to Singapore, there is still much room for improvement in the area of business, cultural exchange and mutual awareness.

Last year, the volume of mutual trade rose by 15 percent but products Poles sell to India, including chemicals, metallurgical and electromechanical goods certainly don’t help ordinary Indians get more interested in Polish culture.

"Polish films have become very popular during international film festivals in Goa [...] and this is another product that can be easily sold [in India]", said Piotr Kłodkowski, former ambassador of Poland to India.

Is India going to become Poland’s sizeable partner in the foreseeable future? Michał Owczarek may have the answer.
