Hundreds of Poland’s uniformed service workers gathered on Thursday in front of the Prime Minister's Office in Warsaw.

Policemen, firemen, customs officers, border and prison guards have demanded higher wages and modernisation of their sectors.
The protest was staged on the eve of the National Police Day.
“They have to honour their promises. Such promise was made by [former] PM Donald Tusk in 2012, he said that by the end of this parliamentary term there would be pay rises,” Deputy President of the Independent Police Trade Union Tomasz Krzemiński told Polish Radio.
