Professor Purchla hopes that Krzemionki Opatowskie in southern Poland, one of the largest complexes of prehistoric flint mines in Europe, will soon be included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, which currently has 28 Polish sites.
In his view, Poland stands a good chance to be the venue of the session of the World Heritage Committee in 2017.
