In the second edition of the participatory budget in Warsaw 2016, the inhabitants of the city decided how over 51 million PLN (12 million EUR) will be spent next year.

Agnieszka Łaszczuk spoke to lawyer Marta Wenclewska and architect Łukasz Wenclewski, who prepared together a winning project to revitalize Żołnierzy Żywiciela Park in the Żoliborz district in Warsaw, based on the idea of participatory budgeting.
“The results of the voting should be huge clues for the people drawing up master plans,” the architect noted.
