Fought on July 15, 1410 in northern Poland, the Battle of Grunwald, in which Polish and Lithuanian forces crushed the Teutonic knights, is remembered as one of the biggest battles of medieval Europe.

The battle saw Polish King Władysław Jagiełło and his army of allied forces defeat the war machine of the Teutonic Knights, which had previously been regarded as invincible.

This month an international group of archeologists combed the area with metal detectors searching for relics to help fill in the blank spots in the picture of the battle.

Krajewska Elżbieta was on the line to professor Sven Ekdahl as he took a break at what is now the site of the Battle of Grunwald Museum.
