Top-notch track-and-fielders competed in Warsaw, among them were gold medalists from the 2015 World Championships in Beijing.
Gold medalist from the 2000 Sydney Games, Skolimowska was one of Poland's brightest talents in athletics. She died during a training session in 2009.

- Last year the Warsaw Marathon attracted runners from 56 countries, this year, for the first time, a team of over 50 Israeli runners will take part in it as well.
