This disturbing phenomenon can also be observed to a certain extent among Polish society.
As Sławek Szefs reports, it could be viewed as a sign of imminent tension appearing between migrants and their hosts, especially in the wake of the refugee tide sweeping across Europe.
“There have been instances of mistaken identity,” says Zuzanna Rejmer from the Polish Migration Forum.
“For example, a Spanish speaking tourist riding on a bus was taken for a Syrian terrorist suspect.”
