At the end of 2013, three Al Jazeera journalists - Peter Greste, Mohamed Fahmy and Baher Mohamed - were imprisoned in Egypt, charged with disseminating untrue information and collaboration with the terrorist organisation Muslim Brotherhood.

The charges were lifted after a year, but Peter Greste was the only one released from jail.
On 6 October, Peter Greste was in Warsaw to receive the Freedom of Speech Award given by the International Association of Press Clubs.
He was interviewed by Wojciech Cegielski.
