The visit at the invitation of the chairman of the Iranian parliament, Ali Larijani, comes a few months after the historic nuclear deal reached in the summer between the world powers and Iran.

The deal is to end decades of Iran’s isolation on the international arena and to open the market of eight million potential consumers to the western world.

Danuta Isler spoke in Tehran to Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz, the head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Polish Senate to find out more about the Polish take on the visit.

As Cimoszewicz said, the visit is symbolic, to show the interest of the Polish government as well as parliament.
