LNG terminal officially opened
On Monday, Polish Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz opened a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal at the Baltic port of Świnoujście, northern Poland.

The terminal is designed to diversify gas supplies and reduce the country’s dependence on Russia for natural gas.

"Central and Eastern Europe is highly dependent on gas supplies from Russia and this dependence has to be decreased," said expert on energy Tomasz Chmal.
