Q&A :: Rowing for the physically challenged

And a group of volunteers will try to cover that distance in exactly 24 hours. Not hard if you’re flying there. But try rowing it!

The initiative is the brainchild of Ulrike Fuhrmann from the Foundation of Academic Integration, who has worked closely with disabled athletes for several years.

The volunteers will row the distance on indoor rowers – also called ergometers – to raise much-needed funds for physically challenged rowers: a relatively new sport in Poland.

The race is being organised by Legia Warsaw in cooperation with the Spanish Fundación Deporte y Desafio, the Legion Foundation as well as the Foundation Academic Integration and the Legia Warsaw Water-Rowing Association.
