2015 started with Poland winning bronze at the Men's World Handball Championship in Qatar. This year also produced a new boxing champ from Poland - Krzysztof Głowacki beat German Marco Huck in Newark and won the WBO cruiserweight title.

Polish captain and Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski made many headlines this year with his Guinness World Record performance while tennis star Agnieszka Radwańska has ended the season in fifth place in the WTA Tour singles standings while
Joanna Jędrzejczyk won Poland's first ever champion's belt in the Ultimate Fighting Championship in March.

One more Polish athlete made headlines this year - kayaker Aleksander Doba, who at the age of 68-year-old crossed the Atlantic, using nothing but his own muscle power, and won the award of the famed US magazine "National Geographic".

And let's not forget the World Athletics Championships in Beijing in August during which Poland won 3 golds, a silver and four bronzes - making it the best result ever!
