Thousands of volunteers will go out on the streets and collect money in special cans labelled with a red heart. The upcoming finale will once again be devoted to paediatrics and geriatrics.

“If we raise a similar amount to last year, we will be able to replace outdated equipment in 320 facilities,” the head of WOŚP, Jerzy Owsiak, told a press conference on Thursday.

Every year, plenty of different items are put up for the famous online charity auctions organised by the Foundation.

This year it is possible to bid for a training session with Poland’s national football team, among others.

“There are four groups of items donated by four Polish Presidents, who were in power after the fall of communism, Piotr Miazek of the Great Orchestra, said in an interview with Radio Poland’s Agnieszka Łaszczuk.

“The Orchestra brings people together, it unites people, we are focused on a common goal, which is helping children,” he added.
