However, following two days of discussions by both countries' experts at the Ministry of Infrastructure in Warsaw, the opinion is that understanding is much broader among the two sides.

Sławek Szefs reports that, earlier, Russian authorities had not agreed to issue fresh permits for Polish road freight carriers to enter its territory to which Polish authorities responded with a reciprocal move.

“The terminating periods of each agreement, with their pre-assigned number of transit permits to enter Russia, have always been problematic at the turn of the year,” Adrian Furgalski, vice president of the TOR Economic Consulting Group, told Polish Radio.

“But lately, these problems have intensified,” the expert added.
