As Michał Owczarek reports, the EC economic forecasts extend over a period of at least two years and cover about 180 variables. The forecasts are published three times a year in sync with the EU's annual cycle of economic surveillance procedures.
Referring to the latest report, European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs, Taxation and Customs Pierre Moscovici listed a few factors conducive to economic growth across Europe.
“These include dwindling oil prices, a relatively low euro exchange rate and the European Central Bank’s policy,” Pierre Moscovici said.
“All these have a favourable impact on exports and private consumption.”
