The number of patients suffering from the so called 'swine flu in Poland is on the rise. The AH1N1 virus is spreading across the country, and just over the weekend, the number of patients diagnosed with the swine flu has risen by 33.

Tomasz Augustyniak from the sanitary inspectorate in the north of Poland points however that the AH1N1 virus need not always spell a catastrophe.

He also points there is no reason for panic: “The statistics which we constantly update, show that there is no cause for alarm, we are still not anywhere near critical data, however the situation requires constant monitoring, especially when we take into account what is happening in neighboring east.”
