  • NATO to strengthen in Poland?
NATO defense ministers meeting in Brussels are tackling the issue of strengthening the Alliance's eastern flank in view of the latest Russian policies.

Poland has long been lobbying for the move.

Sławek Szefs reports that NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg expressed confidence that the initial decisions for enhancing the Alliance's forward presence in the CEE region - subject to approval at the Warsaw summit in July - will materialize.

“This will bolster our collective defense and at the same time send a powerful signal to deter any aggression or intimidation,” said the Alliance chief ahead of the Brussels meeting.
