Pro-choice demo in Warsaw
Several hundred demonstrators marched through Warsaw on Sunday demanding easier access to abortion, free childcare, and an end to temporary job contracts.

This year’s Warsaw “Manifa” demonstration, the 17th annual event, was titled “Abortion in Defence of Life,” drawing criticism from pro-life organisations.
At present, abortion on social grounds is banned in Poland. That is why abortions in Poland “are performed in conditions that threaten women’s health and even lives,” Agnieszka Weseli, one of the organisers of the protest, said in an interview with Radio Poland’s Agnieszka Łaszczuk.
