Statistically, Polish society will be have one of the highest proportions of elderly people in Europe by then. This, in turn, shall require greater public attention to the plight of seniors, primarily with regard to geriatric healthcare.

Sławek Szefs reports that there is more to senior care than just medical assistance for the elderly.

“What is crucially important in senior care is not only properly tending to those persons already affected with old age health problems but also those who presently remain in good condition and may still become active in the physical as well as social sphere,” Michał Majewski, expert from Ernst & Young, told Polish Radio.
