NATO-Russia Council meets after two-year break
Warsaw has voiced support for the renewal of discussions within the NATO-Russia Council but has advocated a sober approach towards policies pursued by the Kremlin.

Sławek Szefs reports that the Wednesday meeting of ambassadors should not be treated as a breakthrough.
However, it is hoped the meeting will provide a basis for further talks, allowing much of the misunderstanding between NATO and Russia to be avoided.
“We consider political isolation of Russia not to be Poland's goal. That is why Poland agreed to a meeting of the NATO-Russia Council at ambassadorial level," Krzysztof Szczerski, a senior official at the president’s office in Warsaw, told Polish Radio.
