The number of so called IDPs, Internally Displaced People, is growing, UN estimates that at present there are some 3,000,000 Ukrainians who were forced to flee their homes.

They all are in vital need of humanitarian aid and Polish humanitarian organisations have been active in the area since 2014.

Caritas and the Polish Red Cross have been sending convoys with humanitarian aid, the Polish International Aid Center is also operating in the region as is PAH, the Polish Humanitarian Action, which has a permanent mission set up in Ukraine.

The actions are directed at the internal refugees, especially the elderly and single mothers with children

Agnieszka Bielawska spoke to Giorgi Shengelia, the head of the PAH mission in Ukraine.
