Fishy goings on in Warsaw
The summer season in Warsaw opens with a spectacular multimedia event at the foot of the Old Town.

The Multimedia Fountain Park has prepared a show called Warsaw Mermaids, which is devoted to the legend of the capital’s symbol: the mermaid.
The performance, opening on 1 May, will present the many legends surrounding the mermaid, how she became the symbol of the capital city, and lived amongthe city’s inhabitants.
The fascinating performance, says Andrzej Matusiak, director of the Warsaw Bureau of Culture, Stołeczna Estrada, responsible for organising such events in the capital, is accompanied by music by the legend of electronic music, French composer performer and music producer Jean Michele Jarre, who is well known for fascinating spectacles featuring lights, laser display and fireworks.
