Could Europe’s immigration crisis escalate to the point of dismantling
the Schengen pact on free travel?
The ongoing influx of migrants from strife-torn North Africa has exposed
underlying divisions within Europe along with an erosion of trust among
Schengen states, raising the question whether the crisis could herald an
end to free travel within Europe.
