The app is able to recognise an art object in a matter of seconds using a smartphone or tablet.
Eliza Mickiewicz reports that ArtSherlock has just been presented by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
“This app enables us to identify an art piece in real time, in a matter of seconds, by taking a picture of an actual object hanging on a wall in an auction house or displayed in an auction catalogue both on paper or screen,” says Mariusz Pilus, president of the Communi Hereditate Foundation which is responsible for the technical side of the project.
