The popularity of webcams transmitting the daily habits of wildlife is quite astonishing.
Szymon Wrześniewski in March installed a new stork webcam in Sokółka, near Białystok, north-east Poland, transmitting on www.sokolka.tv/index.php/kamery-online/gniazdo-bocianie, and almost immediately gained 150,000 viewers.
He said: “The transmission is 24/7, the picture quality is very good, the nest has infra-red LED lighting so it's also visible at night. There's also sound, so we can hear the storks clattering, cleaning feathers.”
