Sławek Szefs reports that some 12,000 Polish soldiers are taking part in this biggest Alliance military training operation in the CEE region, involving close to 31,000 troops, altogether.

“The reception by the people of Poland in every town I’ve been […] has been very welcoming and we want to retain their trust, their confidence,” said General Ben Hodges, Commander of US Forces in Europe, while in Chełmno, on Monday.

Head of Poland's Armed Forces, Lt. General Mirosław Różański, assured that the Anaconda exercise is not directed against any country of Europe, nor any other in the world.

“We have to build our defensive potential because this is the essence of our Alliance,” General Różański explained.
