The 2016 Republican National Convention opened on 18 July in Cleveland, Ohio. Under the banner of "Make America Great Again", delegates of the Republican Party will formally nominate Donald J. Trump to run for president of the United States in this November’s election, as Europe watches.

While analysts point out that Hillary Clinton would continue the policy of outgoing President Barack Obama, there’s no telling what a President Trump would do.

It would be “a protest vote against ‘business as usual’ but also a shot in the dark,” says David Ensor from the Atlantic Council.

From a Polish vantage point, Trump’s stand on immigration would affect Poland and the continuing problem with US visas.
